Within Reach is a ministry of the Shirah Brothers, a Gospel group from Tennessee, whose purpose is to glorify God by encouraging those within our reach.

After an unexpected health concern of a family member during the time when everything was shut down during COVID, the Shirah Brothers faced the challenge of not being able to visit our family member in the nursing home. Thankfully we were able to use a phone and a window to be able to talk with our loved one, but she had lost her ability to communicate effectively. We decided to take a guitar and sing to her. We noticed that she became encouraged when we sang to her, but we were even more surprised of how those around her were encouraged as well. Out of this experience, Within Reach was born.

The Shirah Brothers are a full time traveling gospel music group. What this means is that as a part of our ministry, we carve out time in our schedule to visit different nursing facilities in the areas that we will be singing and with our voices and a guitar we uplift encourage those that have paved the way for us.

A $100 donation allows us to cover the expenses of traveling to these nursing homes. We have met some incredible people at churches all around the US who have come together and helped support over 9,000 facilities. We are so thankful for the blessing these individuals have been to this ministries and to the facilities of those who need assistance.
